Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 25573
WW8: OO can't display mathtype without operands
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:27:38 UTC
Hello I have the MS compatiblity option for math turned on, however in hte following document, the mathformula is not displayed correctly. This problem did not occur in Office 97 Uwe Brauer
Created attachment 13208 [details] Office 2003 document in doc form with math formula
reassigned to mci
reassigned to mru @ mru : Please have a look at this...
changed summary from "OO can't open MS Office 2003 doc with math form" to "OO can't display math form in MS Office 2003 doc"
set target OOo later
This is because of OO Math feature to display error sign, when there is an operator (like "x" or "+") without operands. MRU->CMC: can the mathtype converter perhaps tur this into e.g. " size 12{ {} times {} } {}" for the case there are no operannds available?
MRU->MMAHER: forgot to reassign this. Due to given circumstances, this question is now headed to you ;-)

I think, that it is duplicate to issue 21484, which has two votes and is "new" too. This one should be closed as duplicate.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
