Description oub 2004-02-17 20:04:51 UTC
Hi

On suse 7.2 I have installed:

unixODBC-2.0.5-32
MyODBC-2.50.39-1
unixODBC-gui-gtk-2.0.5-32
unixODBC-devel-2.0.5-32
unixODBC-gui-qt-2.0.5-32

mysql-shared-3.23.37-8
mysql-client-3.23.37-8
mysql-3.23.37-8
mysql-devel-3.23.37-8

Using either the ODBC driver or the MySQL driver the following problem
occurs:

The table of the database consists of two columns (fields), both of
decimal character, say field1 and field2. Now in the query a new
field is generted, which is simply field1+field2. When copying and
pasting the query back in the database (in the same spirit as a copy
and paste a table in dbase format into a table of mysql), I have to
select the format of the 'new field' which is text per default, but I
chose to decimal. In anycase the new table consists for three field,
 field1, field2 and field3, field3 however is empty,

Hi oub,

I can reproduce this.

Set target and send to the right developer.
