Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26030
No dot deliver PIF files at all!
Last modified: 2012-01-29 22:13:41 UTC
Hi, due to many viruses around, I decided to moderate Czech users mailing lists. About 99% of messages are viruses with PIF attachments. What about destroying such e-mails ar reception and not forwarding them to moderators/lists at all? P2 because moderation is almost impossible right now over slow lines. One example: Return-Path: <users-return-@cs.openoffice.org> X-Original-To: Pavel@janik.cz Delivered-To: Pavel@janik.cz Received: from www.janik.cz [81.27.197.66] by localhost with POP3 (fetchmail-6.2.1) for pavel@localhost (single-drop); Tue, 02 Mar 2004 07:20:23 +0100 (CET) Received: from openoffice.org (s002.sfo.collab.net [64.125.133.202]) by janik.cz (Postfix) with SMTP id 2D569B83D for <Pavel@janik.cz>; Tue, 2 Mar 2004 06:44:57 +0100 (CET) Received: (qmail 296 invoked by uid 5302); 2 Mar 2004 05:22:02 -0000 Mailing-List: contact users-help@cs.openoffice.org; run by ezmlm Date: 2 Mar 2004 05:22:02 -0000 Message-ID: <1078204922.295.ezmlm@cs.openoffice.org> From: users-reject-1078204922.295.kfcmohgejoonneagmipc@cs.openoffice.org Reply-To: users-accept-1078204922.295.kfcmohgejoonneagmipc@cs.openoffice.org Cc: users-allow-tc.1078204922.bjpjmgeapfdeejhbiakg-content=netscape.com@cs.openoffice.org To: Recipient list not shown: ; MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary=ioaagbmbofcmecngfjea Subject: MODERATE for users@cs.openoffice.org X-UIDL: J(<"!X0;!!p`p!!m2U!! --ioaagbmbofcmecngfjea Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii The enclosed message was submitted to the users@cs.openoffice.org mailing list. If you'd like to approve it for distribution to all the subscribers, please e-mail: users-accept-1078204922.295.kfcmohgejoonneagmipc@cs.openoffice.org Usually, this happens when you just hit the "reply" button. You can check the address to make sure that it starts with "users-accept". If this does not work, simply copy the address and paste it into the "To:" field of a new message. To reject the post and cause it to be returned to the sender, please send a message to: users-reject-1078204922.295.kfcmohgejoonneagmipc@cs.openoffice.org Usually, it is easiest to hit the "reply-to-all" button, and then remove all the addresses except the one starting with "users-reject". You do not need to copy the post in your response to accept or reject it. If you wish to send a comment to the sender of a rejected post, please include it between two marker lines starting with three percent signs ('%'): %%% Start comment %%% End comment Thank you for your help! --- Enclosed, please find the posted message. --ioaagbmbofcmecngfjea Content-Type: message/rfc822 Return-Path: <content@netscape.com> Delivered-To: moderator for users@cs.openoffice.org Received: (qmail 279 invoked from network); 2 Mar 2004 05:22:02 -0000 Received: from asmx1-p.sfo.collab.net (HELO asmx1.sfo.collab.net) (64.125.133.81) by s002.sfo.collab.net with SMTP; 2 Mar 2004 05:22:02 -0000 Received: from cs.openoffice.org (humpolec.hse.cz [212.71.154.10]) by asmx1.sfo.collab.net (8.12.8/8.12.8) with ESMTP id i225LpCJ026901 for <users@cs.openoffice.org>; Mon, 1 Mar 2004 21:21:52 -0800 Message-Id: <200403020521.i225LpCJ026901@asmx1.sfo.collab.net> From: content@netscape.com To: users@cs.openoffice.org Subject: Re: Your picture Date: Tue, 2 Mar 2004 06:21:04 +0100 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="----=_NextPart_000_0002_0000076C.00000A13" X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0002_0000076C.00000A13 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit See the attached file for details. ------=_NextPart_000_0002_0000076C.00000A13 Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="your_picture.pif" Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="your_picture.pif" TVqQAAMAAAAEAAAA//8AALgAAAAAAAAAQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAuAAAAKvnXsbvhjCV74Ywle+GMJVsmj6V44YwlQeZOpX2hjCV74YxlbiGMJVsjm2V
This is duplicate of 26049. I suppose that antivirus solution will reject all incoming files mails with PIF files in attachments -> even moderators will not see such mails.... *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 26049 ***
