Description xmcse 2004-03-08 17:32:16 UTC
I can not get any object in a floating frame to print.

Click on Insert, Floating Frame, enter a Name and input file name in Contents.
Object will appear in document, but will not print with the rest of document. I
have tried inserting Calc files, JPEGs, and others and the end result is the
same. The print option is checked when you check the Object - Options properties.

Searching the mailing list, I found several people had the same problem, but
they did not get a response from the list. Could be I am missing something, but
it seems to be a bug to me.

confirming with 1.1.1rc1 official linux build.

When viewing document by "File -> Page Preview" a link-symbol subtitled
"Floating Frame" is shown.

Export to PDF is also incorrect.

Would love to help you fix this, but I know just enough about programming to be
dangerous ;- ) Looking in to taking some courses though.

I have retested for this issue on both 2.4 and 3beta, on both Windows XP and
Suse 10.3.

The problem is still there, both when printing to a printer and to a pdf file.
Pdf sample file uploaded.

Floating Frame content can't be printed. Honestly, it's a stupid left-over from
the olden StarOffice Browser times.

I rather would remove the feature than rework it.

If you want to insert OOo documents into other OOo documents, please use OLE
objects.
