I feel that the dialog boxes of OpenOffice.org applications are a little bit 
big.  They need a bit of pruning.  Almost all of them could be made compact.

Eg. Writer:: Format > Numbering /Bullets and Format > Character Dialog boxes

They have extra number of tabs, which could assimilated into a single tab-page 
and thereby save some space and have a compact look.

We are nearing the release of OO.o 2.0, so I don't think this is anything for
this release.  

As far as the UI and dialogs in most of the applications in OO.o suite is
concerned, a lot of rework is being going one.  Also, I came across a proposal
by CJ about adopting new measurements for OO.o 2.0 dialogs, with some
screenshots of the proposed dialog.  I believe that was wonderful, but i am
saddened by the fact that these proposals are not implemented in full.  I
believe as far as common users is concerned the looks of the UI also makes a
difference. A related issue 42227 about the menus may also be seen.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
