Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26732
cache linked images (in xml file)
Last modified: 2014-04-07 19:31:17 UTC
It would be nice if openoffice would cache the externally linked image files in the save file (have an option to do so): When the document is opened OO would first check to see if the externally linked image file exists. If it does then it would use that file and cache it, otherwise it would use the previously cached version of the file. If the cached file is being used the displayed image (but not printed?) should be marked in some noticable but inoffensive way to guard against unintended breakage of links. One could then easily send drafts of documents as a single file to others and other such things. Thanks!
