Description khirano 2004-03-19 16:49:30 UTC
Can you tell me how useful and helpful the Error Report/crashrep is?

If you send a error report, you will receive a mail from Sun Microsystems
Quality Feedback:
-------------------------------------
Dear User,
Thank you for sending the error report generated by the OpenOffice.org error
report tool. Your error report has been received and will be evaluated.
Please do not reply to this automatically generated response.
Sincerely,
Your OpenOffice.org Team
-------------------------------------

1) exactly who or which team receive the error report, read and evaluate it?
2) is there statistics of how many error reports have been received, how many
contributed to bug fixes and enhancements etc., etc.?
3) Why description about Error Report was removed from the current
OpenOffice.org 1.1 readme, since "Readme Last updated 2003 June 23" had long
description about Error Report?

TM->JA: Please have a look, thanks !
Comment 2 Joost Andrae 2004-04-29 17:14:28 UTC
JA->khirano: crash reports are very useful to get information about crashes.
It's a good idea to post some information about statistics but please ask this
as a question again in the dev@qa mailing list. Writing an issue is not the
appropriate way to communicate things which need a broader discussion. Therefor
I close this issue as invalid.
