Description mjneedles 2004-04-04 13:58:50 UTC
I have created a Labels document, user-defined format, landscape oriented
letter-size page, two-up, four rows, designed to be auto-numbered tickets. I
will attach the document to this issue. The problem is that the numbering
fields, which are rotated text, will not retain the alignment formatting I
specified. I want the number field centered in the table cell, both vertically
and horizontally. Originally, it was that way, but it changed after printing
once. Now I cannot get it back in the right position.

Note that the document contains an invisible frame and field outside the margin
on the top left of the first page. It can be made visible by View->Fields.

This is odd, because I can't get the same behavior now. I have the printed
evidence here, though, that it happens.
Comment 3 caiot1 2004-04-04 15:20:24 UTC
I've tested it and I wasn't able to reproduce it.
I've tested in three different ways. One choosing "Update al links", one
choosing "Not", in this dialog box , and one in "Read-only"

At the three times it works fine.
At the first two times the numbers only appear when in "Page preview".
At the third time it appear always.

It appear always in the center.

If I've misunderstood you, may you attach screenshots?
And tell us what diference between them?

You may tell if it print right?
You've tried to print it again?

OBS: I'm under 680m32, WinXP (without any SP, but with some of the SP1 packs.)

The second attachment shows an example of the problem. The first label's number
field will not center vertically, but all the others are so, and synchronizing
the labels shows that the formatting is correct.

The second example has the issue.

MRU->HI: please have a look, if you can reproduce the problem. The vertical
alignment seems to be lost when the document is printed.

HI->FME: Very strange behavior. Please investigate.
