Description Unknown 2002-01-08 18:52:00 UTC
this is a kind of meta/usability bug and most likely this is the wrong
component/subcomponent...

for me it was a pain in the ass importing the whole templates (installing SO6 in
parallel, importin them one by one; see bug 2121) and I guess it will prevent
(some) users from using OO if it does not come with own templates and samples.
they'll simple think that is not complete.
regardless if SUN will charge for SO6 or not, OpenOffice needs this to become a
product of its own instead of a testing environment.
regarding mozilla/netscape netscape can't offer that much more as opposed to
mozilla, thus there are many people using mozilla as their productive browser.
I guess OpenOffice should be a complete product by default and I do not
understand why it contains no templates and samples and the like (it is
described somewhere that this a is difference between SO and OO, but why?).

so
1) add templates
2) add samples
3) allow importing of multiple templates if not the whole structure of templates
including folders created

maybe there is more I missed

This a limitation of Oo.o. May, you want to take some time to crate a
couple in an own project?
