The file menu becomes quite large if the "recent files" section is filled with
long path names. This makes it difficult to access sub menus as the mouse has to
be moved all the way from the "file" menu button to the right side of the menu
panel. It is likely to hit other menu buttons on the way which immediately
closes the file menu panel. Can lead to user frustration.

An easy solution is to move the list of recent files to a sub menu.
