Description ingo.schmidt-rosbiegal 2004-04-23 16:13:47 UTC
The Windows Installer requires, that the Startmenu entry and the referenced file
are packed into the same component. Therefore it is at the moment necessary,
that all startmenu entries are packed together with the soffice.exe into one
component (that belongs to the root feature). This is of course a wrong
behaviour. The fast fix is, that the soffice.exe is copied to a calc.exe,
draw.exe, impress.exe and writer.exe and that these files are packed together
with the corresponding startmenu entry into one component, which is bound to the
correct feature (writer, cald, draw or impress).
In another task (HRO) the many different exe files have be optimized in size.

In desktop project and in scp project the soffice.exe has to be added as
scalc.exe, swriter.exe, ....
The final bug fix is in #i28298

Due to technical reasons executables for all our applications must be installed
(because of the Start menu links, which have to be in one component with the
file they are linked to).
I verfied the correct installation of all these files in the program directory.
