Description utomo99 2004-05-06 04:35:38 UTC
if we look at the address, it will only show the folders name (which is
visible) instead of the file name which is more useful fo user.
by adjusting the visible name is the end will be better, so it will show the
file name.

Comment 2 utomo99 2004-05-06 10:32:42 UTC
try this.
open any documents (I suggest which is inside folders, example my documents)
and open another documents at that folders.
and look at the address box.
what is visible there ? both are shown
c:/mydocuments/...
the most important parts is better if the file name which visible instead of
the folders name.

Hi utomo,

I assume you're talking about the "Load URL"-Box on the left of the function bar...
(Tool tip says: "Load URL")
Here on Solaris and Linux I can see (for example) "/tmp/Writer Test
Document.sxw"....

Yes, it is.
look at this
http://www.kirkmcpike.com/images/shots/so2.gif

it only show c:/documents and setting / but the file name is not visible.
it maybe not a problems on Linux, but in windows it is like that.

hi utomo,

The box has a defined length.
If path+filename are longer than t6his length. this effect appears...

Ifd you agree I change this to an enhancement wish...
Comment 7 utomo99 2004-05-06 12:08:15 UTC
Yes they have limit, if over the limit it become unusable (the info).
so in my opinion it is usability problems.
it is up to you to mark it as enhancements. but maybe the solutions is not so
hard, compared to the time needed for RFE process. so it is up to you.
Thanks
