Description maxqnz 2004-05-23 11:01:32 UTC
I have just installed Ooo 1.1.2rc2, and have discovered that something has
changed in the way it saves files to Word 97/2000/XP format. In Ooo
1.1.1, I could save files in Word 97/2000/XP format and then open them
in WordPerfect 12 without any difficulties. Now, though, if I save a
file in that format from inside Ooo 1.1.2, WP12 reports the file as an
“unknown format†and can’t open it. Can any other WordPerfect users
confirm this problem?

MRU->MMAHER: lacking of WP 12 I am not able to confirm or deny, but do you have
an Idea which change between OO 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 might have insisted such a
behaviour?

utomo > Maxqnz:
is this happend with specific documents or all documents ?

Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test it/faster
to confirm.
(Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily/need more time)
Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is small,
but we still able to see the problem.

The problem does not occur with simple documents, such as basic letters. It does
happen with documents including more complex elements. I have uploaded a couple
of sample files to http://maxqnz.com/rsmA1.zip

Well, I cannot reach the mentioned file on the server, but I do not think, that
this is a problem of OO export function. The files can be opened by MS Word (the
reference), Word viewer and OO itself. Thus the problem is more in WP 12 I'm sure...
