Hi,

It would be nice to refresh all ranges of data which have been included in a
spreadsheet from the data source.

The option to refresh a range only applies to the current range.

If the spreadsheet consists of multiple ranges, each range appears to have to
be manually refreshed which can be a bit tedious.

For example:

Open Calc
Open the Data Source window (F4)
Select the Biblio table
Drag and drop the table into the spreadsheet
Now repeat this and drag and drop a second copy so the spreadsheet has two
copies. (Try to think of these as being two separate queries from the one data
source. I am only using the one table because it makes it easy to demonstrate
what I mean.)
Now change the Type from 1 to 2 in the first row of the table
Click in the first Range
Select Data -> Refresh Range

Notice that as expected only one of the ranges is refreshed.

Each range has to be done manually.

If there multiple ranges (eg States in a Country, months in a year etc) then
this can become tedious.

May I suggest extending the current approach.

The Refresh Range to have a sub menu.
The first item works as currently. That is disabled if the cursor is not
within a range and enabled if it is.
The second item would be a Refresh All.

IMHO this would considerably increase the functionality in this area whilst
still maintaining compatibility with Excel.

Thanks

Kelvin
