Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 30042
pkgchk doesn't unpack macroses
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:07:02 UTC
After installing 680M41 all uno packages refused to work. The 680M38 has been deleted with all it files by uninstalling (Win2k), then manual directories deletion has been performed - both installation directory and personal settings directory in Documents and Settings\user... The uno packages has been copied into Documents and Settings\user\...\uno_packages and pkgchk hasn't complained. So the installation procedure has been repeated, as for M38 and previous builds. The new items in menu appeared after packages installation. But trying to run macros shows the error message: Error loading Basic or document File:///.../CyrillicTools/script.xlb/ General Error General input/output error Are there any changes to installation procedure between M38 and M41? This macros worked fine with M38. The uno packages installer hadn't unpacked scripts to the basic directory. After manual copying the package began to work.
of @ sg: I've had no problems while a normal installation. Can you help out here?
I cannot reproduce this, my sample Basic package works. As a suggestion: move evrything away below the "[user installation]\user\uno_packages\cache" directory and execute pkgchk again. If you still get an error, could you attach a zip that does not work for you?
I've fully deleted both program directory and user directory before OO installation, so this could not be the issue. Now I've cleaned cache directory, deleted \basic\CyrillicTools\ files I've copied manyally to make the package run and run the pkgchk again. It wrote "done", but the error still occured after trying to run macros.

This is a duplicate. It's already fixed and will be integrated in src680_m43. There's also a workaround: Move the Addons.xcu file into the base directory of your package and zip again. That worked for me with the attached file. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 30026 ***
