Description fredrik.haegg 2004-06-30 15:01:13 UTC
The Open-dialogue doesn't have any support for the SVG-format/filter.

1. File-Open
2. Filetype: no SVG-format to be found.

SVG   =   Scalable Vector Graphics

Kai, please take over. Shouldn't we raise the priority? Maybe this should be OOo 2.0
Comment 2 ooo 2004-07-07 10:34:08 UTC
Yes, I really would like to have an SVG import filter for OOo 2.0, but resources
are very tight at the moment, so that we won't reach this goal till 2.0. Changed
issue type to to feature.
Comment 3 lohmaier 2004-08-30 21:15:04 UTC
you may want to close this one as duplicate and take over issue 2497 (103 votes)
Comment 4 lohmaier 2004-09-17 01:45:05 UTC
I suggest keeping this issue as RFE to support actual import of SVG (-> can open
and edit SVG)
and use issue 2497 as RFE to support display of SVG (-> no editing possible) the
display-only solution should be possible using third party libs...
(please comment)

See also issue 2497 which is about opening and editing SVG in Draw
See also issue 49991 which is about using SVG as non-editable images in general

Does anything happen in this issue? This can't be so difficult to implement.
Koffice already supports inline SVG.

When will we see this feature?
