Description flower 2002-02-26 02:49:04 UTC
A point that is keeping OpenOffice still back from DTP is the lack of
possibility to print on *channels*. It has a lot of features that makes it
easyer to use than FrameMaker and others but as long as it cannot print on CMYK
or user specified channels, it will not compete on DTP market and will not be
used largely in printing-books.

So, if someone has a piece of good code for CMYK management, please put it in.

OS->FT: Any plans for this?

This feature is for professional drawing and DTP programs.
Allow CMYK separation for priniting in all applications.

CMYK model is especially important for PDF export. If printing shops have to
convert RGB images, the image will be falsified and it won't look acceptable.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
