Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 34104
EIS: logged in or not?
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:34:52 UTC
Hi, EIS seems to somehow remember that I'm pjanik, so just after starting my browser and going to eis, it tells me, that I'm pjanik. But I can't view My CWSes. See http://tmp.janik.cz/OpenOffice.org/EIS/snapshot001.png After Logout and login again, I see *the same* screen (pjanik on the right side) and I can view My CWSes. See http://tmp.janik.cz/OpenOffice.org/EIS/snapshot002.png It is not user friendly to tell the user that he is pjanik but is not yet logged in ;-)
Hi Bernd, from the screenshots and the description to me this looks like in some cases the application settings are not correctly loaded if the user is determined from the user cookie, so that the VCS-Id cannot be determined for the SQL query. Could you try to offer a bugfix, please.
started
bei->jj: COOKIE_KEY_INITIALS was not set in GuestLogon.java unfortunatly this Cookie set also by the StarOfficeApplicationServlet on 'normal' logon has a longer timeout value than the user cookie this led to the situation that after using guest logon the shortname for the user used before using GuestLogon was still displayed. Additionally i think we should disabled "MyCWS" for user "guest" as it makes no sense there and leads to an Oracle Exception.
fixed
bei->pjanik: I have verified it on eis.services.openoffice.org. You can close the issue.
reopening. The same as before. The only difference is that I do not see "My CWSes" when I'm not logged in, but I still see pjanik on the right side of the window. So, to sum up: user still sees his name on the right side (pjanik in my case) but only (when he is logged) he can see My CWSes link. I think the solution should not show pjanik on the right side when he is not logged in and let the user log-in. For user, the name pjanik (or his username) is obfuscation when he *is not* logged in.
bei->pjanik: sorry the 2. change needed a reboot of the webserver forgot to do that, done now. Now the application shows "guest" when logged in as guest using the link 'automatic guest logon' - http://eis.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/servlet/GuestLogon on the homepage http://eis.services.openoffice.org. To get the login box instead of an automatic guest login when not already logged in use the alternative link 'normal logon' - http://eis.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/servlet/Logon instead. The 'automatic guest login' previously was the only on the eis.services.openoffice.org homepage.
verified, fixed. Closing. Thanks :-)
