Description pavel 2004-09-20 09:09:21 UTC
Hi,

cws-announce is a mailing list @OOo. The guidelines at
http://www.openoffice.org/ml_guidelines.html do contain this:

Format: Plaintext
Mail to an e-mail list should only be sent PLAIN ASCII text format. Turn off
HTML, MIME Encoding and "quoted-printable". See "Configure Mail Clients to Send
Plain ASCII Text."

Please follow them while sending automated mails there.

It is simply unreadable in mail clients that do not parse HTML or for people
whose policy is to not read HTML mails.

Hi Bernd,

could you please take care of this and send the notifications to the OOo CWS
announcements list as plain text instead of HTML.

bei: can you please implement this? It is very crucial for me to have the
ability to read *all* cws-announce mails.

Thank you.

Looks like it is now implemented :-) Right?

At least dmake45 announcement was sent in text/plain only.
Comment 5 bernd.eilers 2006-06-19 08:38:06 UTC
bei->pjanik: well the simple part of it, sending the announcement as text has
already been implemented. But the more complex part of the change, that is
adapting the related RSS Feed Updater to be able to handle text announcement
mails in the mailing lists not quite yet.
