Description ahung 2004-09-21 03:25:06 UTC
Controlling the AutoComplete features is done via the Tools menu in any of the
four apps(Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw). Note that a change in these settings
will affect the AutoComplete features of any of the core apps; in other words,
you can't selectively turn off AutoComplete in Writer, say, and not also
have it turned off in Calc.

Since AutoComplete is only available from Writer, the options to
change its settings are likewise only available from the Writer Tools
menu.

THE BUG:
After I disable word completion in writer, the spreadsheet is still completing
the words for me.

TO REPRODUCE THE BUG:
1. type "openoffice" in one cell
2. as you type "openoffice" in another cell, spreadsheet will autocomplete the
word for you

The version of openoffice should be 1.1.2

Hi,

this is not bug.

If you switch of autocompletion in Writer, it works for writer. This is how it
must work.

To switch this feature off in calc, just deselect Autoinput under tools-cell
contents
