I open up calc and get an empty worksheet.
I do: insert -> external data. Which gives me a dialog.
I click ... button and select my file. 
I get a nice text-import dialog that recognizes the tab delimeted columns in my
text-file.
I click OK and get back in the previous dialog. The filename is added in the
textbox. But now the problem:
The OK button is greyed out. And clicking on the available/ranges textbox does
nothing. So I can't import .txt files into calc. Sucks!

Hi,

what's about using the query facility of Issuezilla ? Using external as keyword
for the summary, nothing for the status and spreadsheet as component would have
lead you to Issue 1834 which this one is a double to.
