Description frank.thomas.peters 2004-10-26 08:29:28 UTC
Choose a menu entry, e.g. Insert - Breaks, and press F1.
You always get the help error page stating that the page cannot be found.
Interestingly, there is always a numerical help id given.

As discussed.
Comment 2 carsten.driesner 2004-10-26 12:19:46 UTC
CD: Fixed, now menu items/toolbar buttons use the correct SfxHelp call.
Comment 3 carsten.driesner 2004-10-28 17:18:35 UTC
CD: Reopened to be verifed by QA.
Comment 4 carsten.driesner 2004-10-28 17:19:45 UTC

cannot open the help at all in this CWS. First assertion, then "unrecoverable
error".

Assertion opening the help
Comment 8 Uwe Fischer 2004-10-29 08:59:35 UTC
UFI: sorry, I clicked on the wrong button Retry instead of Ignore.
Now this is what I see when I open a menu, point to a command, then press F1:

File - New - Templates and Documents: the help opens on the default page, in the
"Search term" text box I see "slot:5500"
File - Open: the correct page opens
File - Wizards - Letter: The default help page opens. The Search term contents
is: service:com.sun.star.wizards.letter.CallWizard?start
File - Close: the correct page opens.
File - Digital Signature: "Could not find Help page." with Help ID: .uno%3ASignature
File - Page Preview: The help page for the File menu opens instead of the
correct help page for Page Preview.
File - Print: the correct page opens
Edit - Paste: The help page for the Edit menu opens instead of the Paste page.
Insert - Manual Break: the correct page opens.
So at least for the last item, I can verify that something got fixed.

This is wrong. Should we submit a separate bug for that?

> File - Digital Signature: "Could not find Help page." with
> Help ID: .uno%3ASignature

There is no such help id (.uno:Signature) used in the help files.
The fallback should be that the main page is shown, not the error
page. Uwe, can you tell this ABI.

> File - Page Preview: The help page for the File menu opens instead of
> the correct help page for Page Preview.

This is probably a bug on the content side. Uwe?
Comment 10 Uwe Fischer 2004-10-29 10:46:49 UTC
> File - Page Preview: The help page for the File menu opens instead of
> the correct help page for Page Preview.

This is probably a bug on the content side. Uwe?
UFI: the content did not change from SO7 - only the methods of embedding. The
Help-ID is on the correct page, but the whole section is embedded one page up.
In this case, the Help-ID is wrongly assigned to the parent page. Broken since
SO7 see #36331#
Comment 11 Uwe Fischer 2004-11-02 09:04:08 UTC
UFI: original bug seems to be fixed in CWS, as I wrote on 28th Oct. So you may
close it.

Comment 13 frank.thomas.peters 2004-11-11 11:35:29 UTC
FPE: Verified by UFI. Close now.
