0. remove you user tree ( ~/.StarOffice8 ) 
1. start a new fresh office 
2. open a new XFORM
3. open the datanavigator
==>> the default size is to small, at least on Linux

fixed in current developer build -> close.

Feel free to reopen if this issue is not fixed in the developer build.
