Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 36916
paragraph formatting incorrect at page breaks
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
I have a style named "code sample" that does the following: - font set to a monospace font - background set to a light gray - one pixel black border - drop shadow to the bottom-right Normally this style works fine. However, when the paragraph goes to a new page, the text on the last line on the bottom of page 1 will be displayed and printed on the top of the one pixel bottom border. The drop shadow appears to cause this, as the one pixel bottom border is drawn with enough room to allow for the shadow. if the drop shadow were not there, the one pixel border would be a few pixels lower, and would leave enough room so that the text line would not be written over the top of the one pixel border. when a paragraph has this formatting applied, and does NOT wrap pages, the display is fine, with the border and shadow properly displayed under the text. Again, this happens on windows and linux, various versions of openoffice, display and print. If you need a sample document, I'll gladly provide one or more. Simply email me (kevin@kevinsworld.com).

MRU->FME: open attached sample document and add our dummy-(auto)text. See the border line in the end of page one painted over the text. It will be ok again after saving and reloading the document.

Created attachment 19152 [details] generated pdf, also showing the problem.
I have attached an sxw that has the problem. On my system, the problem happens to occur, for example, at the bottom of page 15. See the generated PDF file, which also shows the problem. In it, also at the bottom of page 15, the text is overwritten by the border line.
I am seeing the same behavior in OO 2.0 beta.
