The testool crashes on startup at gnome2.6 at solaris 10.  If i set 'export
SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen' then  I have no problems on gnome2.6.

Same with CDE on the same machine works without any changes.

I talked with PL about this issue and he said that this one is yours. If you
need futher infomation please contact him.

I don't understand yet why using the gtk plugin should influence this crash.
Still analyzing.

As we saw the problem is that two different versions of the freetype library are
active. One is the system freetype which gets loaded by the VCL plugin. The
other is the one from the program directory, which is loaded indirectly via GTK.

So other workarounds are:
- if the system already has a system freetype installed, then make sure that
there is none in the testtool directory
- LD_PRELOADing one of both versions helps too.
