Description rcouto 2004-11-16 22:24:24 UTC
The image selection window could not find a file with the ".GIF" (upper-case)
extension.

Sorry, but wrong component. File Open Dialog is common for all Applications ->
Framework.

TM->WG: Please have a look, this is not a file-opene issue.
Comment 3 wolframgarten 2004-11-17 09:20:14 UTC
Sorry, could not reproduce this here with a file with .GIF extension. Could you
attach a step by step description of your action and , if possible, the file?
Which OS do you use? Thanks in advance.

Keyword added.
Comment 5 rcouto 2004-11-17 15:49:32 UTC
Steps:
1) Click in "Insert"
2) "Image"
3) "From file..."
4) Create a directory with a file named "test.GIF" (watch for the case
sensitivity of this :)
5) In the file choosing window, enter this directory. You should notice that
"test.GIF" isn't listed as it should when "All formats" is selected.

Sorry, I closely followed your description but the file is visible in my dialog
(see attachment). Any further tips? Special OS or windowmanager? Thanks.

I just realised I have ommited critical info:
I'm running OO 1.1.2 on a Fedora Core 2 installation. Also, maybe i18n could be
a issue: pt_BR. I am using GNOME 2.6.

Another very interesting bit: at home, on my Ubuntu Warty installation, I also
have a OO 1.1.2 installed. The very window used for openning the graphics is
different from this on Fedora. I don't have a screenshot of Ubuntu's here, but
I'll post it as soon as I get there.

Dou you have the chance to test if a newer version (current snapshot for
example) still shows the problem? I tried it on Fedora Core 2 OOo1.9m62 and
everything worked fine. Thanks.

sorry, no further information received and here the issue is not reproducible.
Setting to works for me and close it.
