Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3747
strlcpy undefined symbol in /usr/lib/im/xiiimp.so.2
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:53:51 UTC
Latest Red Hat 7.2.92 Skipjack version on a Compaq Presario 2700T, 512mb RAM. ./setup produces: glibc version: 2.2.5 /tmp/sv001.tmp/setup.bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/im/xiiimp.so.2: undefined symbol: strlcpy
Hi Martin, any idea? I haven't seen this yet.
I've forgotten to reasign.
seems a Redhat problem to me. setup.bin is not directly dependent to a xiiimp.so object, so i think it must be system dependent. please use 'ldd' or 'strace' to detect this dependency.
Well, I simply removed the offending library, xiiimp.so.2, and the install works now. I don't what the implications are, but it is a successful workaround.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
