Description alan 2004-12-05 13:57:01 UTC
when the attached PowerPoint presentation is imported, the bullet character
looks significantly rougher in OOo than it does in MS Word. See attachments.

Reassigned to Christian.
Comment 5 christian.guenther 2005-01-04 16:03:59 UTC
I can reproduce the bug.
I think it's an antialiasing issue.
Comment 6 thb 2005-01-04 16:42:17 UTC
->cgu: Yep. Have to interpolate bitmaps, when scaling them up. This is
nice-to-have, but not required for 2.0, thus reduced the prio.

->cl: And another note: this is not only a problem for the slideshow, already
the normal Impress slide view shows the problem. Thus, this affects also the
outliner.
Comment 7 alan 2005-01-12 11:51:59 UTC
Adding dina as cc
Comment 8 thb 2005-04-12 04:41:16 UTC
Retargetted to 2.0.1, p4 is not that important.

@ayaniger : OTOH, I've improved overall graphic rendering quality for m90 (which
of course also affects graphical bullets), could you grab a recent milestone and
check whether it's already okay?
Comment 9 thb 2005-04-12 04:43:56 UTC
@ayaniger: ah, I should add: those improvements are _only_ in a running
slideshow, not in the normal edit mode.
Comment 10 alan 2005-04-14 12:24:07 UTC
@thb: I'd tried to look on the Windows m91 version at the slide show for the
attached file, Bullets_1.ppt, but activating the slide show didn't show me
anything. The main Impress Window was no longer active, but the slide show
didn't come up. All I get after a click is the black screen telling me to click
again to exit the presentation.
Comment 11 thb 2005-04-14 12:58:09 UTC
@ayaninger: could you try to run the slideshow in windowed mode
(Slideshow->Slideshow settings->Type Window)?

@wg: can you reproduce the "empty slideshow" effect in m91? That would then be a
different, though hefty issue.
Comment 12 alan 2005-04-14 13:49:06 UTC
Running the slideshow in windowed mode doesn't help. I just see a black screen.
Comment 13 thb 2005-04-14 22:20:37 UTC
@ayaninger: Ah. Your presentation is in master page edit-mode, initially after
loading. Leave it by deselecting View->Master->Slide Master, and then everything
should work.

@wg, @cl: Christian, Wolfram, if anyone of you is listening, I consider it a
separate bug that in this case, the "Exit master page" floater does not show up.
Comment 14 alan 2005-04-15 06:13:18 UTC
I deselected View->Master->Slide Master, and ran the slide show, but I still
don't see the slide, whether in windowed mode or default mode.
Comment 15 thb 2005-04-15 16:18:02 UTC
@ayaniger: Cannot reproduce that.

@wg: could you try to verify that, please?
Comment 16 wolframgarten 2005-04-19 09:46:04 UTC
The black slide effect in window mode is reproducible.
In full screen mode the master tollbar comes up, I can wipe the screeen with it.
Rough bullets reprducible in normal view.
