Description naoyuki 2004-12-06 07:04:22 UTC
1. Enter CJK character in Writer and copy it
2. paste it in Calc
3. broken characters are pasted.
I confirmed this bug on Sol10/SPARC and Win2K. with 680m63 japanese version.

Calc -> Writer is working fine. Drag&Drop has the same issue with this Copy/Paste.
Comment 2 christof.pintaske 2004-12-06 10:55:26 UTC
since Calc to Writer is working fine it doesn't seem to be a gsl issue.
cp->nn: I would guess it is a calc problem.
Comment 3 niklas.nebel 2004-12-06 15:23:44 UTC
I can't reproduce it. Copying CJK characters from Writer to Calc works fine for
me, on Windows and Solaris. What does "broken characters" mean? Maybe it's an
issue of installed fonts.

Comment 5 naoyuki 2004-12-07 04:38:34 UTC
I attached image of this issue.
Furture testing result:
1. Writer -> Calc        NG
2. Writer -> Impress  NG
3. Calc -> Impress     OK
4. Calc -> Writer         OK
5. Impress -> Writer   OK
6. Impress -> Calc      OK
I checked this with Sol8, W2K, and JDS3/Linux, and all of results are same.
Although 1&2 sometimes success, but most of cases 1&2 fails.
Comment 6 niklas.nebel 2004-12-07 18:03:51 UTC
I can now reproduce this, but only on Linux, and only if the default CJK font is
"Andale Sans UI" (default for Asian language "none"). In that case, Writer puts
wrong characters into the RTF stream, also when saving as RTF file. It seems to
depend on the character encoding that the font returns.
