Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3867
cannot copy/paste mathematical equations in the word processor
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
I generated a mathematical equation suing the command tool provided. I then selected the equation, and presses the COPY icon. I positioned the cursor elsewhere on the page (also tried a second document), and pressed the PASTE icon. The result was some sort of graphic, unrelated to the equation. When I did a save, and examined the resulting XML, I noticed that the relevant files (for the pasted equations) were empty.
Dean, thanks for posting this issue. Does this problem still exist in OOo 1.0.1? Thank you for using and supporting OOo.
Joost: I wasn't able to reproduce it. If I copy the Math OLE object and paste it somewhere else it still is an OLE Object. If I paste it to a different application then the bitmap representation will be copied to the other application. This behaviour is correct
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
