Sir,

tried to insert section into a documentby choosing a file thru "Link"
in "insertsection" dialog. But i didn't notice the insertion. It was displaying
some error report. It might be a bug. Please check it.

Hi prathima,

thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice.org...

I followed your steps using OOom65 on Windows and Solaris and didn't get a crash...
Office inserted an empty section.
This is ok but the user should get an error message that executeable files
cannot be inserted...
changed summary accordingly...

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

I am able to reproduce this error.
I am using OpenOffice ver 3.3, OOO330M20 (Build: 9567) on Windows 7
Can't see that this bug is related to other reported bugs, however, there have been some attempts at resolving, but with no success.

The work flow to reproduce the defect attachment document was sufficient for me to re-create the issue.

My steps taken to reproduce:

1. Opened OpenOffice Writer
2. Typed a few sentences in the document to add some data to it
3. Clicked Insert on the menu bar
4. clicked Section, this opened the section tab
5. Checked the Link box, the File Name box opens
6. Click the search box, to the right of the File Name box, This opens the insert window to select the file for insertion
7. Select a document or file to insert.(Cick insert button)
8. Error message appears, see attachment.
Expected to see an error due to executable files cannot be inserted.
Tried again using a non-executable file and the crash did not occur.

Changing the headline because I tried to reproduce this issue by using a mp3 file.
No error, no crash but I stopped AOO when the page counter was going on to 20000 ...
