Description mhayes 2002-04-08 09:35:52 UTC
Inserting spaces in a line at the line wrap position doesn't seem to be handled
correctly. The spaces never appear in the document and never flow onto the next
line.

1. Create a new document.
2. Insert a few lines of text.
3. C.hoose any line and go to then end of the line (hit the End key)
4. Type a few spaces. No spaces appear in the documnet, the cursor does not move
on, and the text doesn't flow onto the next line.

It appears that the spaces are actually inserted into the document however.
1. follow the steps above to insert spaces at the end of line.
2. Put the cursor before the last visible letter in the line where you've
inserted the white space.
3. Use the right arrow key to move through the text.
4. The cursor will appear to get stuck at the end of the line, until you've
pressed it enough times to move through the "invisible" white text.

I've tried using left, centre and right alignment and changing hyphenation
settings but this problem seems to be present in all cases.

Note finally that with View|Non-printing characters switched on, no white space
symbol ever appears at the end of a line.
