Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3938
Need rsync access for ftp.rediris.es (130.206.1.5)
Last modified: 2004-03-22 16:08:42 UTC
We need our IP address to be added so we are able to rsync openoffice.org. Thanks, josé manuel.
hi, I was just informed they were all uploaded. It will happen once a week. cheers Louis
I reopened this issue because I'm still having problems: $ rsync -rtlzv rsync://ny1.mirror.openoffice.org::openoffice . failed to connect to ny1.mirror.openoffice.org - Cannot assign requested address Please, tell me if it's my fault or if it is any other issue. Thanks.
Hi, to check whether you (your IP) has access rights do a simple rsync -v rsync://ny1.mirror.openoffice.org/ Does this give openoffice OpenOffice rsync mirror If this works you have to play with the command line options. rsync --progress -rtlzv rsync://ny1.mirror.openoffice.org/openoffice . works for me.
I have recompiled my rsync client (who knows ... maybe it could be the problem), but here's what I get when I try with your options: ---- $ rsync --progress -rtlzv rsync://ny1.mirror.openoffice.org/openoffice . Unauthorized use is prohibited. Violators will be prosecuted. @ERROR: access denied to openoffice from zeppo.rediris.es (130.206.1.5) rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (148 bytes read so far) rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(150) ---- ... and yes, if I try without params, what I get is: ---- $ rsync rsync://ny1.mirror.openoffice.org Unauthorized use is prohibited. Violators will be prosecuted. openoffice OpenOffice rsync mirror ---- ... an issue with your rsyncd version perhaps ? I'm also rsyncing many other important mirrors, such as redhat, mandrake, php or apache with no problem ... I also tried a lot of different options with OO's rsync server, so I think it is not a problem with my client's options. I hope this info to be useful for tracking what is happening. Thanks again, josé manuel.
that's exactly the output I get when trying from a machine that has no access rights.
So the address has not been included yet, I suppose ...
Hi, My apology. The ops person indicated he would do it soon, not that he had already done it; the language was ambiguous and I read it optimistically. louis
the ip nos will be uploaded wednesday. today is, as my ever cheerful ops person so graciously informed me, Wednesday. Cheers louis
I believe that this has been done. Please verify. louis
As agreed with Louis, we can close all the resolved fixed issues he owns.
For technical reasons we have to move the issue to another subcomponent tan 'www'. Sorry for bothering you with this generated notification message. There is no need for any action from yor side. Thanks for your understanding, Stefan
