Description Unknown 2002-04-11 00:02:16 UTC
It would be a _very_ useful option to get rid of the brackets, so that it is
possible to create references like [XXX1, XXX2, XXX3] instead of [XXX1],
[XXX2], [XXX3].
A hidden text feature would be very useful for bibliographic indexes, too.

Well, nobody asked me, but I agree anyway (on the bracket part). :-)
This was something that bothered me when doing my own diploma thesis,
and I think I ended up doing those references by hand.

To implement this, one would have to add a flag to the bibliography
field (+API, + load/save), but I think that's doable.

As for the hidden text, I think we support this already, so I don't
get Bernd's point.

Alternatively - does anybody know where to delete the '[' and ']'
addition inside the source-code?
It would be OK for me to leave them out anyway.
No joke, really.

dvo->BerndSchmitt: Well... I'd much prefer a proper solution, one that
would benefit everyone. However, if you don't want to wait, look at:
SwAuthorityField::Expand() in sw/source/core/fields/authfld.cxx

Brackets are obtained from the field type through
pAuthType->GetPrefix()/GetSuffix() and can be omitted in a fairly
straight-forward manner.

well, i would say this is completed since know you can select between [no
brackets], [],(), {} and <> in the setting of the bibliography reference as far
as i know.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
