Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4023
OO641D kills on heavy load on kernel with preemption patch
Last modified: 2005-07-25 22:09:20 UTC
Using 2.4.18-xfs with RML's preemption patch, OpenOffice build 641D gets killed shortly upon loadup when confounded with heavy CPU load (such as compiling the kernel). When the CPU load is light, OpenOffice loads normally. Tested only on machine with ff. specs: Debian Potato r6, kernel 2.4.18-xfs, 320MB RAM, 645MB swap, AMD Duron 700MHz
Paolo, please verify with OOo 1.0. If the problem persists, reopen and use the component "framework". An strace output attached would be fine.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
