Description ljf 2005-01-14 04:46:13 UTC
When this picture output to PDF, all the ovals become rectangles. I can make
the same thing happen in MS Word if I ungroup the picture. I get a message that
says "This is an imported picture, not a group. Do you want to convert it to a
Microsoft Drawing Object?". If I say yes, the ovals become boxes in MS Word
when it is displayed. Note: ovals are correct shape when jist viewing, but are
wrong color.

Reproducible.
Comment 5 philipp.lohmann 2005-01-14 12:43:05 UTC
pl->sj: the metafile contains lots of raster ops which obviously are used for
clipping here; we cannot do that in PDF.

The only idea i can come up would be to scan the metafile before use whether it
contains raster ops and in that case render the metafile to a VDev and the
render the resulting bitmap to PDF; but this wouldn't look that good, also it
would make for a potentially very large image.

If you don't want to persue the later idea than please close this as wonfix.

sj->thb: I think you are collecting such kind of rasterop/clipping problems for
further planning and improvements.

@sj: please take this one back.
