Warm boot Windows 98 SE, start OOo1.9.71 Writer, Format > Page and adjust
margins. File > Template > Save, with MyTemplates highlighted give it a name and
click OK. Windows reports an illegal operation and shut down the program. This
was reproduced several times. No such problem noticed in 1.9.69 but I can't
remember if I tried to save a template but think I did.

I was able to save my document as .odt and import it as a template and then
assign it as my default template without any problems.
