Table with missing information
Last modified: 2005-01-28 14:35:02 UTC
I have a table which isn't displaying properly, which is rather annoying as you can see some of the information, but the rest ins't displayed, this is a MS Word - OpenOffice issue. I have hosted the offending item http://www.martinleese.plus.com/Lev_3_Semester_2-2.doc Thanx for looking, if you have any problem retrieving the file please don't hesitate to contact me. Kind Regards Martin

That'a a problem of Writer's table handling. It isn't possible to merge certain cells because the table would become too complex. Writer's table cells have a cocept of being adressed with an absolute value and this could not be granted in certain cases of merging. See issue 4032 and issue 29412 for further information. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 4032 ***

Thank you for the speedy reply and information. I was however wondering if there could be some sort of prompt which tells you that information is missing from the table when you try and open it, I am relativly new to OpenOffice, but I think this would be a good remider, I wasn't expecting for information missing, so I queried the table and made myself look a little silly when they told me to look a little closer. Kind Regards Marin
