Techgurufloyd,

Would you be able to get your project lead to vouch for your need? We need his or her authorization
before we can proceed.

In http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddSSHGuide.html, we explain the process.

Louis

I'm not sure who the contact is, but I want to design/create a Chrome/Event
component to reduce/remove dependence on VCL. I don't know which components
would be required to do this, I think it'll be more than just the VCL part of it
as VCL is directly linked to throughout the code. I don't need commit access
right now, I only need a copy of the sources to look at how feasible this will
be and start working on a new component that will handle Chrome for OOo. After I
get a component that seems to do what I want, then I would go in and start
removing references to VCL, and instead tie them into whatever API I create.
This will take a long time if I can't get anyone to help me, but I hope I can do
this. I'm looking at making sure this new API will work with AQUA/Cocoa as well
as the procedural event models on Windows and *n*x (QT/GTK/etc)

From what I can tell the contact is the dev@gsl.openoffice.org list... But that
doesn't make much sense so I'm not going to CC a mailing list.

Check out the thread of my idea here:
http://gsl.openoffice.org/servlets/BrowseList?list=dev&by=thread&from=673708
My input at:
http://gsl.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=1570
http://gsl.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=1571
http://gsl.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=1577

I hope that's enough info. As I said, for the time being, I need a copy of the
sources. I'll want to see more than just the latest version. I will want to look
at the following branches:
Main Trunk
2.0.* (I think this is still the trunk, but should be separated soon.)
1.1.*
The last version that had SV instead of VCL might be useful as I think there was
a gui builder in there. Not sure on which version that'd be.

I won't do any commits at first. I'll develop locally until I have it working
well, or until someone else wants to help in development. But I'll cross that
bridge later.

Thanks,
Jacob

Ok, I just saw the owner list. *hits head on wall feeling very stupid*

Someone else's description of what I plan to work on can be found here:

OK. I found how to do anonCVS for OOo. I can use this for now, I don't know what
code to check out though to do what I want. I just got GSL. I hope that's all
that's needed.
Since I don't need SSH access right away (I didn't know about anonCVS) I'll mark
this as resolved later. (Assuming I have the rights to do so) If that's not a
correct resolution, change it please.
Thanks,
Jacob

thanks; you beat me to the act :-)
feel free to use the dev@gsl mail list.

Do you mind if I close this? "later" usually means "later version of OOo". You can always reopen it if and
when you like.

cheers
