Open writer; Go to File > Templates > Organise >

In the Template Management dialog when you choose a specific style [for eg.
default] you are provided with specific commands [Print/Print Settings/Update].
why can't a modify style option be given? The 'Commands' button is something
intimidating for a common user. It should be replaced with something more user
friendly text like 'Options' or someting better.

The update option of this menu is ambigous. What will be updated? How it will
be done? So if the specific style can be updated by going through a "Modify...'
option which will invoke a 'Styles and Formatting' dialog [not the present
Stylist, but something more user-friendly and well laid] from where the user can
modify the properties of the style [font/paragraph/borders/numbering/etc.]. I
would file an enhancement issue for this separately.

What I believe is that at present the styles shown in this 'Template Management'
Dialog are only paragraph styles available in the specific template. Instead of
this the user should be given with a detailed list of categorised styles
[character/paragraph/page/ etc.] which he could drag-n-drop to the other
templates if one opts for or use an 'Add/Update Style' button to add the
specific style to the template he chooses. This could be carried out in the
present double-column layout of the dialog in reference with some modifications.

I hope others would add their comments.

Thanks,

Aparan.

Any update for this issue ? What's the point proposing a dialog to import styles
if only paragraph styles can be handled ???
