Description kla 2005-02-17 12:01:59 UTC
Reported by Manager:
-Math help-contents
-Formulars
-General Information and User Interface Usage
-Welcome to the StarOffice Math Help
-How to work with StarOffice Math, last link (Examples) D'oh! You found a bug
(text/smath/01/03090900.xhp#examples not found).
Found in DE Help
Comment 1 Uwe Fischer 2005-02-17 12:32:03 UTC
Is there a bug in the build process? The english source file is OK, the english
help is OK. In German and in Spanish, the link to the Math examples from the
Contents page as described gives that d'oh error.
The DE or ES Math home page is not available. But the link from "Funciones de
StarOffice Math", then click on "ejemplos de aplicación", works OK.
So the page is there, just some of the links do not work.
Comment 2 Uwe Fischer 2005-02-17 13:05:03 UTC
Further examination shows that in the german smath.jar, the
<variable id="examples"> ... title ... </variable>
variable definition is missing in file smath/01/03090900.xhp

FPE: So the translation is buggy. -> TLIS
Check if the corresponding paragraph is correctly localized including
all inline elements.

Hi kla,
I need more info to fix this problem.
Can you please quote here exactly what the german & spanish links read so I can
search for the strings directly?
Thanks,
Ian

Which CWS? Whats happend with Key ID 318824?
Reassign to UFI
Comment 9 Uwe Fischer 2005-03-04 08:25:25 UTC
this is a translation bug. Documentation department cannot verify this. Doc dep
only writes the english sources.
Please let's follow the normal workflow of handling bugs
->iano, did you use a CWS to fix the bug or how and where did you change the text?
->kla, if iano says the bug is fixed, pls set to fixed and wait until it can be
verified in any CWS
Comment 10 Uwe Fischer 2005-03-04 08:29:44 UTC
FYI, also, when I stated that the german and spanish text differed from the
english source, that was not meant to be an exhaustive analysis. Most possibly,
*all* the translations differ from the english source, but german and spanish
are the only ones I tested.
Comment 11 kla 2005-03-04 08:41:24 UTC
Thats not the way to fix issues. I need an CWS to verify.
