In my spreadsheet, I want to print a range of cells.
So I select them and say File->print.   The Print range
still has 'All' selected.  It should automatically
be 'Selected'.

Hi,

I don't think so as the print dialog has no chance to know at what time the
selection was made. As on the opposite someone can make a selection and later
needs to print the whole document, the dialog has to be reset. So I prefer to
keep it as is.

Nevertheless I reassign it to requirements.
