Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4340
IssueZilla "assimilates" HTML attachment
Last modified: 2003-12-27 10:23:17 UTC
When attachin an HTML file to an issue, IssueZilla integrates this file into the OOo Web site template which makes this bug doc useless for the QA (see attachement below). Fix proposal: 1) HTML shoulöd be automaticaly zipped by IssueZilla when attached. OR 2) Display a cleary notice on the attachment page to prohibte HTML attachments and invite the submitter to zip this kind of files. Remark: Yes I already reported this issue, but: - to 1) one told this automation would be to difficult to realize. I doubt about that but anyway... - to 2) (your workaround) nothing has been done. So I report this once again hoping this issue will have a solution. (CC: to the QA lead)

there is no solution. I use zip files. louis
Of course there is a solution: the second one. Or tell me it is impossible to delete a radio button option and write one line of warning on a Wab page...???

Hi, Actually, the second solution is fairly complex and will take some time to implement. That said, I will see about trying. Louis
ES->MS: can you do something for this? It must be a joke that writing three words on a web page may be considered as "fairly comüplex"... In the meantime I definitively can't handle submitters' documents and I have no motivation to be used as an "How To" speaking machine. Thanx
filed as an issue (p3) with internal CN to change the language; I don't have access to the necessary files, hence the delay. PCN iz: 9892. Best, louis
Created attachment 1909 [details] a test binary upload
cool - just use binary as file type. no need to zip ;-) That, of course, does not solve the problem of communcating this to the submitter. Louis, maybe the internal issue can be changed to reflect this? cheers, Martijn
ES->Martijn: sorry but when I open you attachment, I still get the OOo template (Home, about us etc) al around the original document...
Hi, well, I'll put the CN horses thru their paces to see about fixing this, anyway. best louis
Hi am reanimating the isssue at CN. louis
Hi Louis, could you (or support) please update the status whiteboard. If "support" is the better choice to track this, feel free to reassign. Thanks Stefan
Hi this is an enhancement request. I filed an issue with pcn, 9892, but there has been no action on this. Would support please take it on and push it thru the proper channels? thanks louis
Updating into new format. Action Plan: Will escalate the internal issue. Timeframe: Expect a response back by 11/11/02.
The requested text has been added to the attachment page in issuezilla.
As agreed by Louis I will close these resolved fixed support-owned issues now. If you have trouble with that, please re-open the issue.
