I have an .sxw format document (from 1.1.4) originally in Word 2003 format which
opens correctly in v1.1.4 which has numerous paragraphs, bulleted areas and a
header/footer all on a single page.

If I open this same document in 2.0beta I end up with a 4 page document,
randomly page broken, and each page has he footer directly under the last text
rather than at the bottom of the page.

The original Word 2003 document if imported into v2.0beta imports correctly - doh!

In a phrase, "it's a complete mess".

I can supply two documents, .doc and .sxw, which show the problem.

MRU->FME: the footer is initially too large. Deleting the table and Undo will
workaround the problem.

FME->OD: Please have a look. Looks like the object in the footer causes the
wrong footer height.
