Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 43877
Cannot import full text notes from .PPT files
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:09 UTC
Notes from a Powerpoint presentation cannot be shown nor edited properly. Seems to affect OO.o 1.1.0 to 2.0b on x86 platform with both Windows and Linux. Not tested with older versions.

Try to open the third page in Notes mode off the attached file.
Reassigned.
I can't reproduce the bug. I can see and edit the notes in the attached file with OOo 2.0 Beta (m79). there was a bug in the past which is fixed in the meantime. Please have a look if you can still reproduce the bug in the latest version m95.
Created attachment 26167 [details] Cannot import full text notes from .PPT files - screenshot OOo 1.9.m100
I can still reproduce the bug in the latest version 1.9.m100: - notes cannot be viewed nor edited properly - notes cannot be fully printed Added screenshot to show the bug "in action". Hope this helps. BF
with m103 i can view and edit the notes, however when execeeding the papersize textlines will be shown on the grey background. SuSE 9.3
Created attachment 26250 [details] Notes cannot be viewed nor edited properly: what I should get.
with m100 on Win XP notes cannot be fully viewed nor edited. When exceeding the paper size, notes are partially shown on the grey background then omitted (see B4-C01-DC.pdf pages 4 to 6 and compare with B4-C01.ppt third slide in 'Notes' mode)
The error still occurs with m104 on Win XP.
set to new and change the target
According to the developer this is an enhancement and not a bug.
The Text is longer then the slide could scroll up (to see the lower text). Therefore the lower part of the notes can't be seen or edit.
