OpenOffice 1.1 and Excel can both read the attached spreadsheet. Open Office 2
Beta fails with the message:

    Read-Error.
    Unkown or unsupported Excel file format..

Version in about box 1.9.79

Hi,

tried it with 1.1.4 and got the filter dialog. So OOo1.x Series doen't open such
files.

Daniel, as discussed it's yours.
