Description willbeers 2005-03-16 08:03:35 UTC
Under 1.9.79, if the symlink for the new mozilla plugin is not present in
~/.mozilla/plugins, when a file is clicked the browser just opens a blank page,
even if it is symlinked elsewhere (/usr/lib/firefox/plugins, in my case). If
the browser can initialize the plugin, the plugin should open the file.

(Using firefox 1.0.1 on slackware-current)

See also issue #55531 "Path to pluginreg.dat different in Mozilla and Firefox"
where the difference is between ~/.mozilla/firefox/pluginreg.dat (which does not
work) and ~/.mozilla/pluginreg.dat (which does work).

I am confirming this RFE according to
