Description aguerra355 2005-04-04 04:31:22 UTC
I downloaded a form that was done in MS Office and when I opened it in OOO the
form did not display properly. I have the file and am willing to upload it if
necessary.

MRU->FME: at the end of page one (line beginning with "revised") where a hanging
indent is used. Normally, a tab will jump to the end of the indent (Word and OO
default behaviour). But in this document the Word-compatibility option "Don't
add automatic tab stop for hanging indent". With this option active, the indent
space can be filled with tabs.
Writer also need such a compatibility option to import such documents correctly.

Hello,
i noticed this issue only from version 3.0, i did not notice it in version
2.4.1. Is there a known workaround?

I also saw that this problem still exists when saving the word document in ODT
file format. So i looked inside settings.xml of the ODT file and i saw that if
the variable "TabsRelativeToIndent" is set to true the problem disappears.
Is there a way to automatically set it to true (with a macro for instance) when
importing the file in Writer?
