Description Rainer Bielefeld 2005-04-11 06:15:00 UTC
Often it is really easy to import content of User- dictionaries to OOo, but
currently the policy is not described in the manuals.

Example how to import User-dict. from WORD:
1. open
<C:\Dokumente_und_Einstellungen\Rainer\Anwendungsdaten\Microsoft\Proof\Benutzer.dic>
 (or similar) in OOo text processor
2. start spelcheck
3. always confirm with "add word" until end of document
Ready

This should be listed in documentation.

I think this is covered quite nicely by
http://documentation.openoffice.org/HOW_TO/word_processing/Howto_import_user_dictionaries.pdf

The following page covers this issue:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOoAuthors_User_Manual/Migration_Guide/Importing_Files
The page can be easily found from the documentation wiki main page by entering
"dictionaries" to the search box.
Setting to "fixed".
