Description snmishra 2005-04-11 16:28:11 UTC
Sometimes, I don't want to recover documents after a crash(I have had some
corrupt documents from that). I still want to send in the crash report, if that
will help make OOo2 more stable (which it needs a lot of help with right now,
IMHO). So crash report should be available independent of whether the users
recover her/his documents.

JA->CJ: please take a look at the autorecovery spec. This behavior hasn't been
defined but I think snmishra is right. There must be a way to send crash reports
without using the autorecovery. Reassigned to you. Adding Andreas and Hennes to

crashrep.exe keeps crashing on me no matter what I click. When I turn on my
computer, sometimes it just pops up and asks if I want to recover some files
that I had been recently using. It really does not matter what I click,
whether I try ro send a report or cancel, it simply crashes just before it
exits. It's a pretty bad crash usually a 'chain reaction crash'. OpenOffice
crash reporting crashes, which brings up Windows crash reporting, which then
crashes, and the Windows error report for the error report crash crashes too.
And the strange thing is that OpenOffice never crashed in the first place,
crashrep just pops up when I turn on my computer sometimes, and asks me which
files to recover... strange ... very strange

Did I post this in the right place or should I start a new issue for this ? I
have screenshots of this happening if you want me to post them...?

oops ... sorry for the double post. It keeps taking me to another random issue
right after I submit and when I click back and refresh it re-posts my post.
Sorry.

There's no possible to implement this on 2.0.2 ? maybe 2.0.3 ?

After all, we need only a button to skyp the recovery process... this shouldn't
be too difficult.

Thank you.

AOO does no longer send error reports.
